FAYETTEVILLE — FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn had a little fun at his own expense on Thursday at the opening press conference for the 2019 season.
Van Horn was asked if he was ready for his “deal” on Friday night and his response was “What deal is that?”
The former Razorback infielder and 17th year head coach knew, of course, the deal is his induction ceremony into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
Van Horn, 58, had actually been voted in for the 2017 class but could not match his schedule up to the grand, formal induction ceremony in Little Rock.
