Van Horn, Jorn talk end of season, who is coming and going

FAYETTEVILLE - Dave Jorn said his final Arkansas baseball goodbyes Wednesday, part of his last press conference as Diamond Hogs pitching coach.

The 61-year-old announced his retirement from collegiate coaching on Monday after more than 20 years with the Razorbacks. He is staying on through the summer, likely through June anyway, to help head coach Dave Van Horn and assistant Tony Vitello and the rest of the baseball staff with recruiting and scouting. After that, the plan is to have the new pitching coach in place and a new era can begin with program.

“With the games and the amount of time you have got to put in, it just got to the point that I really didn’t want to spend that much time anymore,” Jorn said.
