SAN FRANCISCO — The Arkansas basketball team’s NCAA Tournament dance came to a stunning end Thursday night in the Sweet 16.
Texas Tech erased a 16-point second-half deficit and ended the season for the 10th-seeded Razorbacks with an 85-83 overtime victory in a West Region semifinal at Chase Center.
Arkansas blew the second-largest lead in the history of the Sweet 16. Across San Francisco Bay in Oakland, Gonzaga blew a 17-point lead against UCLA in 2006.
The third-seeded Red Raiders (28-8) advanced to the Elite Eight for the third time in program history and will play top-seeded Florida on Saturday.
