FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will wear an alternate helmet for the second consecutive week when it plays at Colorado State on Saturday.
The Razorbacks will wear the red chrome helmets they unveiled at the 2016 Liberty Bowl, a 45-23 Arkansas win over Kansas State. The Razorbacks have not worn the helmets - which also have a silver chrome face mask and team logo - since the Liberty Bowl, but the helmets have remained popular among recruits who often wear them in pictures taken during campus visits.
Arkansas will wear its traditional all-white road uniform with the helmets.
The Razorbacks wore white helmets and all-white jerseys in their 55-20 win over Eastern Illinois in the season opener last weekend.
