Arkansas senior Mike Redlicki was eliminated in singles play at the NCAA Tennis Tournament Thursday in Athens, Ga., but he won his doubles match with senior teammate Jose Salazar.
Redlicki and Salazar beat Ohio State's Herkko Pollanen and Mikael Torpegaard 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 to become the first Arkansas doubles team to advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals since Marcus Hilpert and Euan McGinn in 1994.
Redlicki and Salazar, 14-8 this year, play Oklahoma’s Andrew Harris and Spencer Papa today.
Before Redlicki's and Salazar's doubles victory, Texas' Yuya Ito beat Redlicki 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 in singles play.
