FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas women’s basketball team is scheduled to play Central Arkansas in December, it was announced Friday.
Mike Neighbors and the Razorbacks are scheduled to host UCA in Bud Walton Arena on Dec. 13, one day after the schools’ men’s basketball teams are scheduled to meet for the first time since 1947.
The game will mark the first time Arkansas and UCA’s women’s programs have played since 1978. Under head coach Sandra Rushing, the Sugar Bears won 13 games and finished 9-11 in the Southland Conference last season.
In June, Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek informed UA coaches they can schedule any in-state school in all sports but football.
