Arkansas' women's golf team was recognized Wednesday for ranking in the top 10 percent of its sport in the NCAA's academic progress rate (APR).
The Razorbacks had a perfect APR score of 1,000 in the latest reporting period. APR rewards points for academic eligibility and year-to-year retention of athletes.
Women's golf was the only program at Arkansas to rank in the top 10 percent of its sport. It is the golf program's seventh recognition since 2006.
APR scores for all sports will be announced later this spring. Low APR scores can result in NCAA penalties such as scholarship reductions and postseason bans.
