UA football records highest APR mark

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ football program surpassed its previous best score for its multiyear Academic Progress Rate released Wednesday.

The Razorbacks’ score of 952 was a 14-point gain over last year’s score and was the highest mark for the football program since the NCAA implemented the APR formula for rating college athletic teams in 2003.

Arkansas’ previous highest football multiyear score — an average of a four-year cycle — was 938 during the 2011-12 school year and last year.

APR scores are based on a formula with all athletes on any form of athletic scholarship being able to count for up to four points per year — one for eligibility and one for retention for the fall and spring semesters.
