FAYETTEVILLE — Two Arkansas quarterbacks have been cleared for the start of fall camp after suffering back injuries in July.
Sophomore Rafe Peavey, the backup to starter Austin Allen, has been given the OK to practice by team doctors after undergoing minor back surgery in mid-July, but may not participate in the entire first practice.
“It really just depends on how much he can tolerate throughout the course of the day,” coach Bret Bielema said.
True freshman Cole Kelley strained his back in the weight room last month, but Bielema said he’s fully cleared and should be able to make it through the full practice.
