FAYETTEVILLE — The official trailer was released Friday for EDDIE!, a documentary film about the life and career of former Arkansas basketball coach Eddie Sutton.
The feature-length film is set to premiere sometime later this year, but executive producer Christopher Hunt said a date has not been finalized.
Hunt, an Oklahoma-based filmmaker, said his goal is to premiere the film during basketball season and to enter it into film festivals, including one in Hot Springs in 2018 or 2019. A screening also is being planned in Fayetteville, Hunt said.
Sutton won 806 career games, coached in 26 NCAA Tournaments and advanced to three Final Fours during his career at Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State and San Francisco, and was the first coach to take four programs to the NCAA Tournament.
