This time next week, the No. 5 Arkansas baseball team will be in the midst of its season-opening four-game series against Washington State.
In the meantime, the Razorbacks have wrapped up their final preseason intrasquad scrimmages with 14 total innings in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon after a single matchup on Friday.
Saturday’s pair of games could not have been more different. The first went eight innings with a final score of 1-0 in favor of the Gray “backup” squad, while the second went just six innings, with the Cardinal starters winning 11-3.
Composed of the usual suspects, like Kendall Diggs, Wehiwa Aloy and Nolan Souza, the Cardinal struggled to get the bats going early.
