In our newest edition of Throwback Thursdays, we look back to the last time Arkansas defeated Alabama in football, all the way back in 2006.
September 23, 2006
Coming into this game, Arkansas was 2-1 after winning its SEC opener the week before at Vanderbilt in heart-stopping fashion, as the Commodores missed a short field goal that would’ve won the game.
Alabama, fresh off a 10-win season the year prior, was 3-0 and had a ton of confidence under Mike Shula.
Special teams became the story of this one, as the Razorbacks’ Jeremy Davis missed an extra point, but it would pale in comparison to the day that Alabama kicker Leigh Tiffin had.
