In this week’s edition of Throwback Thursdays, we look back at the inaugural meeting of Texas A&M and Arkansas in the Southwest Classic.
Even though Texas A&M was still in the Big 12 in 2009, the game already a conference meeting type feel and atmosphere when the teams met in Cowboys Stadium.
Arkansas was in need of a victory after SEC losses to Georgia at home and at Alabama, while the Aggies were 3-0 by virtue of having not played anyone yet.
The game started off going Texas A&M’s way, as it jumped out to a 10-0 lead after a 32-yard field goal from Randy Bullock and a 60-yard touchdown pass.
