FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas basketball players Jacorey Williams, Anton Beard and Dustin Thomas were suspended from the team Wednesday hours after being booked into the Washington County Detention Center for suspicion of forgery.
The three were booked just before 2 p.m. after allegedly buying merchandise with counterfeit money, according to reports.
“We have become aware of a pending legal issue involving three men’s basketball student-athletes,” Razorback Athletics said in a statement. “The student-athletes have been suspended indefinitely from the men’s basketball program. Our continued expectation is that our student-athletes conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times.
