It took Arkansas a little while to shake the cobwebs two days before Halloween.
Playing their first game in two weeks, the Razorbacks looked a little sluggish early Saturday at Auburn. A pair of Arkansas offensive drives totaled 11 yards and the Tigers’ first two drives reached scoring position.
Yet, when Anders Carlson made a 46-yard field goal with 5:55 remaining in the first quarter, the Razorbacks only trailed 3-0. It was an early indication that Arkansas might be OK even if it didn’t bring its ‘A’ game to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The film will assign Arkansas its grade, but in real time it appeared the Razorbacks played one of their best games of the year in spite of the slow start.
