When a SEC coach brings in a new assistant, there is no learning curve. In short, the coach hired that assistant to address a specific problem and immediate results are expected.
Over the next two days we’re going to look at new coaches and, in several cases, pairs of coaches who are expected to have an immediate impact on their teams.
We’ll start with the offensive side of the ball.
1. Georgia: Coordinator Jim Chaney and line coach Sam Pittman
This is the third time the duo has worked together at an SEC school after stops at Tennessee under Derek Dooley (2009-2012) and Arkansas under Bret Bielema (2013-14).
