Arkansas took a long look at what it hopes to become Saturday between the hedges.
Lined up across from the Razorbacks was the model of what second-year coach Sam Pittman hopes his program will become. For three hours, as Georgia dominated its way to a 37-0 victory, it was obvious there is a long way to go for the Razorbacks to match the SEC’s elite.
There are schematic differences, but Pittman’s goal at Arkansas is to achieve Georgia-level dominance on the line of scrimmage. Pittman, a defensive lineman as a player who was one of college football’s premier offensive line coaches, calls the SEC a “big person league" and sees team success as closely tied to line play.
