The upcoming Arkansas vs Georgia clash at Foley Field this weekend seems destined to be a three-game shootout.
Georgia leads the nation in home runs – with 92 – and as a team bats at a hefty .315 clip. The Razorbacks hold their own, though, leading the SEC in team batting average at .335, with 74 long balls.
It’s surprising – maybe even shocking, considering the last couple of years – that Arkansas is not only keeping up with, but pacing some of the best offenses in the SEC.
Last summer, after Arkansas was bounced in their own regional for the second straight season, this time at the hands of SEMO, many Razorback fans were calling for hitting coach Nate Thompson’s head, citing lack of development as their largest complaint.
