FORT WORTH, Texas — Brendan Wenzel hit a three-pointer with 18.8 seconds remaining to give TCU its first lead since the first quarter and a 66-65 victory over the No. 16 Arkansas men’s basketball team Friday at Dickies Arena.
Arkansas led by as many as 13 points in the third quarter before the Horned Frogs ended the period on an 8-0 run and carried momentum into the fourth. Vasean Allette hit a three-pointer to cut it to a two-point deficit and force Razorbacks coach John Calipari into a timeout.
Ernest Udeh, TCU’s lone scholarship returner from its NCAA Tournament team last season, was a key part of its comeback effort.
