FAYETTEVILLE — For the first time in his college career, Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green is in line to have the same offensive coordinator for two full seasons.
Green announced Thursday he would be returning for his redshirt-senior season. Later in the day, Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said there was not “any inkling” of full-time assistants looking at jobs elsewhere.
Green’s return to Arkansas gives him a second year to develop under offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, who withdrew his name from consideration from the Charlotte head coaching job Dec. 3.
The dual-threat quarterback was chosen by Petrino out of the transfer portal last December after three seasons at Boise State.
