At the halfway point of the season, Wehiwa Aloy has proven he’s more than worthy of becoming Arkansas baseball’s next first-round pick in the MLB Draft.
The shortstop’s latest web gem helped force extra innings Saturday afternoon and the No. 2 Razorbacks scored three in the 10th to beat No. 14 Vanderbilt 6-4, clinching their first series win in Nashville since 2010.
With the score tied 3-3 entering the ninth, Colin Barczi looked like he had a leadoff single with a grounder through the hole on the left side of the infield. Not only did Aloy get to it, but he immediately jumped into the air and threw a strike against his body that beat the catcher to first.
