FAYETTEVILLE — Television broadcasts of NCAA Tournament games routinely begin with play-by-play announcers and color analysts highlighting the strengths of each team.
As expected, Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner did so prior to tipoff of Arkansas and Texas Tech’s second-round matchup at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Sunday. Asked what stood out about the Razorbacks, Bonner spoke highly of their offense and assortment of scoring threats.
“They’re a very impressive offensive team,” he said. “They’re a good defensive team, but their offense is among the best in the country at 82.5 points per game.”
It was an accurate statement, but was yet another instance of Arkansas being overlooked on the defensive end of the floor.
