FAYETTEVILLE — So deadly accurate for the game’s first 31 minutes, the 3-point shot disappeared in Arkansas’ bid to knock off No. 11 Auburn on Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena.
The Auburn defense shut the valve from the beyond the 3-point line to rally the Tigers to a 79-76 overtime victory before 17,196. They dodged 3-pointers at the end of regulation and overtime.
The shorthanded Razorbacks led 59-50 on 10 of 17 3-point shooting with 9:18 to play, and then expanded the lead to 11 with 7:39 left. But they missed their last eight 3-point attempts.
