FAYETTEVILLE — Samara Spencer became the first Razorback to be named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year in more than a decade and Amber Ramirez gave Arkansas an All-SEC selection for the third straight year when the coaches’ selections were announced by the league office Tuesday.
Additionally, Jersey Wolfenbarger joined Spencer on the SEC All-Freshman team.
Spencer joined C’eira Ricketts, who earned the SEC Freshman of the Year honor in 2009, and Karyn Karlin (1997) and Christy Smith (1995) also claimed the award.
