FAYETTEVILLE — Scotty Thurman will be hired as an assistant basketball coach at Arkansas, multiple sources confirmed to WholeHogSports.
Thurman will replace Matt Zimmerman as a full-time assistant. Sources said Zimmerman, who has been an assistant since 2011, will be reassigned to an administrative role within the program.
Thurman has served as the director of student-athlete development for the Razorbacks since 2009. He became the program's radio color analyst in 2014.
Thurman was a three-year letter winner at Arkansas from 1992-95 and was named all-SEC twice.
