“Silent Assassin” Smashes 3-Year Curse + More from Game 3 vs Washington State

One day after being robbed of two on Opening Day, Arkansas slugger Brent Iredale made sure to leave no doubt Saturday afternoon.

The Australian sent two baseballs well into the Hog Pen for the game-tying and go-ahead runs in the Razorbacks’ 5-2 series-clinching win over Washington State at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Those were Iredale’s first official home runs in an Arkansas uniform, but he could have easily had a pair Friday, too. The wind kept one in the park and the second may have actually cleared the fence, only for the umpires to rule it hit the top of the wall before bouncing back into the field of play.
