FAYETTEVILLE — It took 45 minutes, but seven Arkansas basketball players cut down a herd of Texas Longhorns on Wednesday.
Playing without leading scorer Adou Thiero (knee), the Razorbacks notched an 86-81 victory in overtime at sold-out Bud Walton Arena that will strengthen an NCAA Tournament resume that had already been bolstered in recent weeks.
Arkansas (17-11, 6-9 SEC) has won 6 of 10 since a 0-5 start to conference play, including back-to-back home games over Texas and 15th-ranked Missouri last Saturday.
The Razorbacks swept the season series against the Longhorns (16-12, 5-10). Arkansas won 78-70 in Austin, Texas, on Feb.
