Arkansas second baseman Carson Shaddy has been named SEC Player of the Week following a big weekend in the Razorbacks' season-opening sweep of Bucknell.
Shaddy hit a pair of home runs and recorded a league-best nine RBIs in the three-game set. His four RBIs on Friday are the most by a Razorback on Opening Day since 2005.
The redshirt senior had a slugging percentage of 1.571, recorded four hits in seven official at-bats and reached base in 9 of 12 plate appearances. Shaddy capped his stellar weekend with a two-out RBI single in the second inning to kickstart Sunday's comeback win over the Bison.
