The 2016 NFL draft now is less than two weeks away, and Thursday’s trade of the No. 1 pick crated a heck of a lot of first-round intrigue, with analysts trying to figure out which quarterback the Los Angeles Rams will select first overall.
As usual, the SEC is expected to have the most draft picks of any league; the SEC had 54 players selected last year, giving the league the most draftees for the ninth year in a row. The SEC also has a national-best 246 picks in the past five drafts. And over the past five drafts, the SEC has had 50 first-rounders; second is the ACC with 26.
