FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas distance runner Dominique Scott has been named one of 10 semifinalists for The Bowerman, the top individual award in college track & field.
Scott, a senior, won the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races last weekend at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., and became the first individual to win both events at the NCAA meet since 2010.
The Bowerman is presented to the top male and female athlete in indoors and outdoors track & field. Scott did not run indoors this year because she was out of eligibility in that sport.
Arkansas sprinter and long jumper Jarrion Lawson is expected to be on the men's semifinalist list when it is released Thursday.
