Sandi Morris wins second U.S. indoor title

Sandi Morris took another step toward staking a claim as the best American female pole vaulter Sunday.

Morris, 24, won her second consecutive title at the U.S. Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. Morris cleared 15 feet, 5 inches on her third attempt to win the event.

Katie Nageotte and Mary Saxer failed in three attempts at the same height. Indoor world record holder Jenn Suhr withdrew from the event Friday over safety concerns.
