FAYETTEVILLE - There are good vibes in Stillwater for the Arkansas baseball team.
Allie P. Reynolds Stadium is the site of the Diamond Hogs’ Super Regional-clinching victory last year. Arkansas beat Stillwater Regional top-seed Oklahoma State a night before knocking off St. John’s to move one round short the College World Series.
As much as Arkansas players remember it, Oklahoma State ones may recall more-so. It was the Cowboys who were supposed to win that four-team miniature tournament. And as much as can be in a nonconference game in March, payback is on the mind.
“(Michael Bernal) was there as a freshman and he has plenty of thoughts about OSU and I am from Oklahoma and all my buddies go there, the kids I grew up with in high school and don’t even play baseball go there,” Arkansas reliever Zach Jackson said.
