Former Arkansas wing Stanley Umude has signed to begin his professional basketball career, according to a report.
Citing multiple sources, Jon Chepkevich of Rookie Scale tweeted Friday that Umude has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Detroit Pistons. He is the first known non-drafted Razorback to agree to terms with a franchise since Thursday.
An Exhibit-10 deal is a one-year, minimum-salary contract that counts toward a team’s 20-man offseason roster limit. It does not count against the team’s salary cap unless he lands on the regular-season roster.
Umude reportedly had pre-draft workouts with Utah, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Toronto and, most recently, Detroit on June 17.
