Report: Offensive lineman Addison Nichols transfers from Arkansas football to SMU

FAYETTEVILLE — Addison Nichols, a center who started 12 games this season for the Arkansas football team, reportedly signed with SMU on Wednesday.

On3 reported his signing with the Mustangs.

Nichols became the 13th former Razorback to sign with another program during the winter transfer cycle. Twelve others are still in the portal.

Nichols, 6-5 and 329 pounds, spent one season at Arkansas after transferring from Tennessee. Pro Football Focus graded him as the second-best pass blocker and third-best run blocker among the Razorbacks’ starting linemen.

He is the second Arkansas player to transfer away to a program competing in the College Football Playoff.
