FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas moved up three spots to No. 16 in The Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll Monday.
The Razorbacks (13-6) were 2-1 last week, highlighted by a 90-87 victory over No. 3 Connecticut at Bud Walton Arena. UConn (11-1) remained ranked third in this week's poll.
Arkansas' win over UConn snapped a two-game losing streak against South Carolina, ranked second this week, and Georgia, ranked 25th. Other SEC teams ranked this week include Texas A&M (7), Kentucky (15), Tennessee (18) and Mississippi State (24).
The Razorbacks followed the UConn victory with a 77-67 win over Auburn — a game Arkansas trailed by 13 points in the first quarter.
