Arkansas puts its status as the best soccer team in the Southeastern Conference on the line today against a team that hasn’t lost an SEC game this season.
Say what?
South Carolina was unbeaten in SEC play and defeated Arkansas 1-0 in September, but the Gamecocks tied three of their final five regular-season games and finished one point behind the Razorbacks in the league standings. That allowed Arkansas to win its first regular-season championship and earn the No. 1 seed at the conference tournament.
The teams will meet again at 1 p.m. today in the SEC Tournament championship game in Orange Beach, Ala.
