Razorbacks beat LSU, advance to SEC Tournament semifinals

In an SEC Tournament with multiple upsets, the higher seed won Friday afternoon.

Fourth-seeded Arkansas bookended halftime with a 19-0 run to take control and defeated No. 5 seed LSU 79-67 in the tournament quarterfinals at Amelie Arena in Tampa, Fla.

The Razorbacks (25-7) advanced to play eighth-seeded Texas A&M in the first tournament semifinal game Saturday at noon Central. The Aggies won their second game at the tournament with a 67-62 upset SEC regular-season champion Auburn earlier Friday.

Au’Diese Toney scored 22 points and recorded 10 rebounds in his first game back from an ankle injury that caused him to miss Arkansas’ regular-season finale at Tennessee.
