FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas won its second consecutive game with a walk-off home run Tuesday.
This time it only took eight innings as Braydon Webb’s grand slam closed the book on a 14-1 run-rule victory over Grambling State. It was Webb’s first hit of the season and snapped a 0-for-23 slump.
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn was pleased to see his outfielder’s lengthy dry spell come to an end.
“If we can get him going offensively, it would be really big for us,” Van Horn said.
Arkansas starting pitcher Mark Adamiak settled in and retired 10 consecutive hitters after allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 1 walk in the first inning.
