Razorback women fall in AP poll after last-second loss

FAYETTEVILLE — Following a last-second loss at Texas A&M on Sunday, Arkansas dropped two places to No. 18 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll.

The Razorbacks (14-7, 4-6 SEC) lost 69-67 to the Aggies when Jordan Nixon hit a game-winning shot with eight seconds remaining. It was Nixon’s second game winner to beat Arkansas this season, and the third game the Razorbacks lost on a shot in the final 10 seconds.

Texas A&M (18-1, 9-1) moved up one spot to No. 6 in this week’s poll.

The Razorbacks were 1-1 last week.
