Zack Cox played third base for Arkansas in 2009 and 2010.
The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the Campbellsville, KY native out of high school in the 20th round of the 2008 MLB Draft, but he opted to play for the Razorbacks.
He was the 4th-ranked prospect to attend college per Baseball America, as well as their 4th-ranked SEC newcomer & 5th freshmen prospect for the 2009 season.
Arkansas advanced to their second College World Series under Dave Van Horn in Cox’s freshman year. He got going quick in the opening game against Cal State Fullerton on an RBI-single scoring two runs, and shortly after blasting a two-run homer that was a big part in Arkansas winning 10-6.
