Ryne Stanek pitched for the Razorbacks from 2011-13. After a stellar career at Blue Valley High School in Kansas City, Stanek was selected in the 3rd round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners but opted to attend college.
Stanek made himself known during the 2012 season going 8-4 with 83 strikeouts boasting a 2.82 ERA. That season, the Hogs participated in the Shriner’s College Classic and Stanek was tabbed All-Tournament team for his success.
Stanek came into 2012 as one of the top pitchers in college baseball earning preseason All-American honors from Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, and Perfect Game along with being named SEC Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
