Jeff King played at third base for the Razorbacks between 1984-1986 where he was tabbed an All-American on various committees each year and was selected All-Southwest Conference his sophomore and junior seasons. He set a school record for single-season RBIs with 82 in 1985 and he ranks third in school history with a career batting average of .372.
The Pittsburgh Pirates made him the top pick in 1986 where he played with Andy Van Slyke, Barry Bonds, and Bobby Bonilla. After his best pro season in 1996, he was traded to the Kansas City Royals and during his two seasons there he hit 52 home runs.
