FAYETTEVILLE — Heavy rain is forecast to fall throughout Arkansas' game at Tennessee on Saturday in Knoxville.
According to a hazardous weather outlook posted Friday morning by the National Weather Service in Morristown, Tennessee, rain totaling 2 to 5 inches is expected to fall between Friday night and Saturday night in east Tennessee. Amounts depend on the "evolution and interaction of Hurricane Joaquin" with a weather system already in the region, according to the weather service.
There is a low lightning risk associated with the rain. Southeastern Conference rules dictate a game must be stopped for at least 30 minutes when a lightning strike occurs within 8 miles of a game in progress.
