After getting to play just 16 games last season before the coronavirus pandemic shut down college baseball, Murray State head coach Dan Skirka is thrilled his program has played eight games in the last two weeks.
Even if No. 1 Arkansas (10-0) completed a sweep of the Racers with a 6-0 win on Sunday, Skirka knows his team battled the Razorbacks tough in 7-6 and 11-6 losses the previous two days.
“It is just great to be out playing games consistently after being off and on the field since January,” noted Skirka, whose team’s first four scheduled games this season were postyponed due to weather.
