FAYETTEVILLE -- Robert Pulliza's resignation as Arkansas' volleyball coach was announced by Athletic Director Jeff Long on Wednesday, one week after the athletic department confirmed it had begun an investigation into the volleyball program.
The investigation began after an anonymous letter was sent to UA administrators by people claiming to be several "outraged" parents of players, and they demanded Pulliza's resignation for intimidating and bullying their daughters.
Neither Long nor Pulliza, 42, addressed why the coach resigned in a news release announcing the move Wednesday. Through a UA spokesman, Long declined an interview request or further comment.
