FAYETTEVILLE — Gather around, it's Storey time.
Arkansas' two-man race for starting quarterback was unsettled when Razorbacks coach Chad Morris named Cole Kelley the starter earlier in the week. Morris said he told Kelley his role as starter was "not a lifetime contract."
It might not last one week.
Backup Ty Storey thoroughly outplayed Kelley in Arkansas' 55-20 season-opening win over Eastern Illinois at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Playing in his first game since October 2016, Storey, a redshirt junior, passed for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns, rushed for two touchdowns and led six scoring drives in his eight possessions, turning a close game after 15 minutes into a rout by halftime.
