FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas released its post-fall practice depth chart Monday with more than a couple of surprises ahead of the season opener Saturday.
The most notable change was at middle linebacker. Josh Williams was listed as the starter there after working on the strongside for a majority of the spring and the whole fall until last week. Khalia Hackett moved from the middle to the outside. Basically, the two switched places back to where they were at the beginning of the spring.
“Thought a year ago at the time to put Hackett in the middle might give us a little better athlete a little better opportunity to have a guy run and make plays but as we began to see it unfold he was just a lot more comfortable outside,” Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said.
