Former Arkansas standout Bobby Portis is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks on a new contract, according to a report.
ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Thursday that Portis, 27, has agreed to a four-year, $49 million deal with the franchise. He became a free agent after declining a $4.6 million player option for the 2022-23 season on Wednesday.
After winning an NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021, Portis last regular season averaged career bests in points (14.6) and rebounds (9.1) over 28.2 minutes per game, which was also a career high. He started 59 of 72 games.
