The cliche about not being able to teach old dogs new tricks doesn’t seem to apply to coaches at Arkansas.
As a group, there are no older “dogs” in the SEC than the Razorbacks’ trio of John Calipari, Dave Van Horn and Sam Pittman. Each Razorback head coach is at least 63 years old and they have an average age of 64.6 years.
According to research by Best of Arkansas Sports, the next-oldest trio of “Big 3” head coaches in the league reside at Auburn, but their average age is more than 6 years younger than Arkansas’ trio.
