Wayne Pinnock, a University of Arkansas newcomer who transferred from Tennessee, finished ninth in the long jump Saturday night at the World Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Pinnock, competing for Jamaica, had a best mark of 25 feet, 10 1/4 inches on his second attempt. He swept NCAA long jump titles indoors and outdoors for the Vols this year.
Former Arkansas NCAA champion Dominique Scott, competing for South Africa, finished 17th in the 10,000 meters final running 31:40.73.
Kemar Mowatt, a former Razorback All-American competing for Jamaica, finished second in his first-round heat of the 400-meter hurdles in 49.
